We are delighted to announce the launch of the CSI Awards for 2010.
Originally established in 2003, the CSI Awards are now in their eight year and have become one of the most comprehensive and competitive technology awards anywhere in the world, designed to reward technical and product marketing excellence in the cable, satellite, terrestrial broadcasting, IPTV, online/internet video and mobile TV sectors. The awards are open to any company supplying relevant products, software or services.
We’d like to draw your attention to a new category this year – 3D TV, which is being introduced as the market moves beyond the pilot stage and into commercial deployments. Around in one form or another since the 1950s, 3D is now the current hot industry topic as it moves from cinemas and into consumer living rooms on enabled TV sets. This is a vibrant field with numerous developments taking place worldwide and should prove a valuable and timely addition to existing categories.
We look forward to some exciting products and projects being entered here.
The deadline for entries is Monday 17th May 2010. The awards ceremony will take place at IBC as usual, with exact dates and locations announced closer to the time.
